How easy is it to mix with a DJ Controller?

Il keep this short....If you cant mix with a turntable then hope is not lost. Its much easier to mix with a DJ Controller because you can actually let the software do the mixing for you! I know, Cheating bastards!

Its almost too easy to mix. Take the DDJ SX3 as an example. The DJ software can beat match for you. And you might think it doesn't actually work very well, but its actually pretty good at what it does.

Incredible mixes are now possible, even by a compete idiot whos never even picked up a vinyl. Shocking isn't it?

And whos to blame for this influx of complete newbie DJ's?

I personally blame Pioneer.

Why? Because they are basically cornering the market and producing some incredible products at ridiculous prices. You no longer need to pay 2 grand for a DJ Controller, you can pick a professional unit up for a thousand pounds and be mixing like a pro within minutes.

And thats not just it, the controllers that pioneer are pushing into the market are loaded with shiny buttons and flashing lights and loads of knobs to mess with.

What most people dont get is that a controller is just a controller. It isn't an MP3 player or a record player or anything like that.....The DJ Controller literally just controls software on your laptop. Serto software to be precise.

All your MP3's are stored on your laptop and the controller can speed them up or slow them down or sample them or actually do all sorts of stuff to make your mix sound unique and professional.

Any DJ in the market today needs to get on board with the revolution that is the DJ Controller....And Pioneer are right there at the top of the pile!
